Playa Famara on the North Coast of Lanzarote is only 100km off the African coast so all the sand blown from Sahara desert lands here. It forms these desert-like sandy dunes. Yet one can still tell we are on Lanzarote because of the windmill in the background.

Postcard from Lanzarote: Playa Famara
Surrounded by high cliffs, Playa Famara is a true surfer’s paradise. Seems the winds never stop blowing here.
